Keith A. MacKenzie, D.O.

A native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Dr. MacKenzie received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. He completed his dermatology residency from Bi-County Community Hospital in Warren, Michigan from 1994-1997 and his family practice medical internship from Mt. Clemens General Hospital in Michigan from 1992-1994. He completed his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in 1986.

Dr. MacKenzie is a board certified doctor in both dermatology and family practice. He is a Diplomat of the National Osteopathic Board; a member of the Arizona Osteopathic Association; the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Dr. MacKenzie founded MacKenzie Dermatology in Prescott in 1997 and is the founder and Medical Director of Skin Perfection Anti-Aging Medical Spa. He has enjoyed a staff appointment with Yavapai Regional Medical Center since 1997.

He has published articles in medical journals and received the AOCD/Oclassen Residency Research Paper Award and the Daniel Koprince Education Award.

Dr. MacKenzie and his wife live in Prescott with their four children. He spends his personal time with his family and enjoys tennis, hiking and home improvement projects.

Kim Carlson Stover, NP-C

Kim joined MacKenzie Dermatology is 2013 as one of only a few Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioners in the state of Arizona. Prior to joining Dr. MacKenzie, she worked in a similar capacity in Phoenix for the past 6 years. She is responsible for a wide variety of common to complex skin disorders with an array of treatment options. Kim specializes in acne, psoriasis, female hair loss, skin cancer detection and skin surgery.

Raised in Prescott, Kim received her nursing degree from Cedarville University in Ohio. She obtained her graduate degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at Loyola University in Chicago in 2007. During that time, she worked as a Dermatology Registered Nurse for two years and received additional training at the Hines Veteran Hospital in Illinois.

Kim is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Dermatology Nurses Association Nurse Practitioner Society. She was the founding president of the Arizona chapter of the Dermatology Nurses Assocation.
